PARK YOUR LICENCE

SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED A BREAK

We provide British Columbia Real Estate licence parking services to agents who would like to maintain their licence in good standing with the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (RECBC) while minimizing the costs involved in holding a licence at a board-level branch. Our non-board branch is registered at RECBC, but is not part of a BC Real Estate Board. This substantially reduces the costs involved in maintaining your Real Estate licence.

QUESTONS & ANSWERS:

WHAT IS THE MONTHLY FEE FOR "PARKING" MY LICENCE?

Fair Realty only charges $50.00 a month + GST

WHAT OTHER FEES DO I NEED TO PAY?

None, you just need to keep your licence active with Council every two years and pay your licence renewal fees.

DO I STILL NEED TO EARN 18 HOURS OF EDUCATION CREDITS FOR EACH LICENSING PERIOD?

No, you only need to take the mandatory courses that BCFSA requires you to take to renew your licence which currently includes Legal Update, Rules Changes, and    Anti-Money Laundering.

HOW LONG CAN I STAY "PARKED" WITH YOUR BROKERAGE?

There is no time limit to being a member of our non-board branch.  As long as you are an active member of the BCFSA and maintain your educational requirements your licence can remain "parked" with our brokerage indefinitely.

PARK YOUR LICENCE

By "PARKING" your licence with us, you will remain an active licensed Real Estate Professional registered with BCFSA (British Columbia Financial Services Authority), however, you are precluded from trading in Real Estate Services directly and you will no longer be a member of a Real Estate Board. However, you can still earn money through referrals to other licensees.  You also have the option of co-listing with another Fair Realty agent who is a member of a Board.

As a Non-Board member, you will be held to the same Regulator compliance standards as any other licensed agent and will be required to complete all Regulated educational requirements for each 2 year licensing cycle. The difference is that you will not be a member of any Real Estate Board and will not have access to Webforms or the MLS® system.
